Gunung Setampol Green Summit is a lush “hidden gem” in Bogor, West Java, offering a serene escape through vibrant, pristine forests. The hike is relatively short but features a challenging, steep incline that provides a refreshing alternative to more crowded trails.

The terrain is dominated by steep earthen paths and dense vegetation, requiring solid physical stamina despite the moderate altitude. Hikers can enjoy cool mountain air and misty valley views, though the lack of flat sections makes for a steady, heart-pumping climb.

The summit offers a cozy spot for resting and viewing a breathtaking sunrise over the verdant landscape. To ensure the best experience, visit during the dry season for safer trails and clear, panoramic views of the surrounding greenery.

sunrise hike ITENERARY

Travelers usually arrive at Bangsal Harbour via Bali or the Gili Islands. Some may also arrive via Lombok airport. In both cases, we offer transportation to our accommodation in Senaru as part of your package. You will arrive at our accommodation and have dinner. You can enjoy the beautiful view from our outdoor dining area to watch the monkeys right below you. You can also walk to Tiu Kelep waterfall which is only a 20 minute walk away. The path is directly in front of our accommodation.

Times are not fixed and may change depending on sunrise time.

01:30 – Wake up at dawn for coffee and tea.
02:30 – Depart from Senaru to Sembalun.
03:30 – Start the climb to Bukit Anak Dara while it is still dark.
05:30-06:30 – Arrive at Anak Dara Hill, just in time to see the sunrise.
07:00 – Enjoy breakfast with a view of the sunrise.
08:30 – take Photos and Video on top of the hill, with a view of Sembalun village.
09:30 – Start the descent after breakfast.
11:30 – Visit a local strawberry garden and pick fresh strawberries and have lunch
13:00 – Depart for the next place, such as Bangsal Harbor or a hotel around Senggigi.

Times are not fixed and may change depending on sunset time.

11:00 – 12:00: You must be picked up by our driver no later than 1:00 pm for this schedule to be on time.
2:00 pm : Arrive at our accommodation in Senaru.
2:00 pm : Lunch will be provided at the accommodation in Senaru upon arrival.
3:00 pm : Depart Senaru for Sembalun village and the base of the climb.
4:00 pm : Arrive at Sembalun village, immediately followed by the start of the climb to Anak Dara Hill.
6:00 pm : Arrive at the top of Anak Dara, just in time to see the sunset. Take a moment to relax on the Top
7:45 pm : Descend from Anak Dara Hill to Sembalun Village
9:30 pm : Return to our accommodation in Senaru, Dinner and Rest

08:00 – 09:00 : Wake up and enjoy breakfast served at our inn.
10:00 : Depart for a walk along Tiu Kelep Waterfall. Enjoy the tranquility in a beautiful location like heaven.
13:00 – 14:00 : Light lunch served at our inn.
14:00 : Our driver will take you to the next destination.
